Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro Price in Nigeria and Specs

Samsung has just launched it's latest rugged smartphone, a member to the XCover series. The company calls this one Samsung Xcover Pro.

You might wonder why it's called a rugged device. The phone has an IP68 water resistance rating and US military standard certification (MIL-STD-810). To add to this, it also comes with a metal frame, thick screen borders, and reinforced corners. So, why wouldn't it be termed as "rugged". It is indeed rugged if you ask me.

Unlike most XCover series we have seen, this one comes with a modern-day design. But wait a minute! The phone comes with a removable battery!! But that's quite rare for a modern smartphone.

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro comes with a 6.3-inch LCD display that has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone measures a 165.20 x 76.50 x 9.94mm dimmension, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and weighs 217g. It comes in a black color option, and just right before the top left corner comes a punch hole.

Having said that, the phone screen can be operated while you are on hand gloves or when your hands are wet.

Performance and Storage

Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro is powered by a octa-core Exynos 9611 silicon and removable 4050mAh battery with 15W fast charging. The phone runs Android 9 Pie and possibly could be eligible to update to Android 10 in the nearest future.

Memory wise, the phone comes with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal memory expandable upto 512GB via microSD card.

Camera

As for the camera options, Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro brings to the table a dual camera, a 25MP wide angle lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the fore front, it spots a 13MP selfie housed within the display's punch hole.

The phone connectivity options include Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi Hotspot, FM Radio, 4G LTE. Sensors on board include proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and fingerprint sensor.
